The partnership plays off of the contributions of Maker’s Mark Founder Margie Samuels, who was responsible for the design of the bottle, label, and the red dripping wax. Her contributions earned her a posthumous spot in the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame in 2014. Her attention to detail was crucial in achieving international recognition of a product made in the tiny Kentucky town of Loretto.
