Pursuit United Whole Shebang Barrel Selection

It’s not often that consumers get to experience a barrel pick unless they know someone who works at a liquor store or bar or if they are a member of a whiskey society and get to be one of the lucky few. Pursuit Spirits is aiming to change that with their new visitor experience: The Whole Shebang: Tasting + Barrel Pick + Fill Your Own Bottle.

Pursuit Spirits plans to open a visitor center on Louisville’s Whiskey Row next year, but until then, visitors can stop by their Mellwood Avenue location, part of the historic site of the Mellwood Distillery, for a tasting of Pursuit Spirits or for a fill your own bottle experience.

Guests doing the fill-your-own experience will learn a little about the journey Kenny Coleman and Ryan Cecil went on to create a unique whiskey offering in the crowded whiskey landscape. They will get to try several barrels of whiskeys hand-selected by Coleman and Cecil before choosing the one they want to bottle.

Finally, guests will get to thief whiskey directly from their chosen barrel, cork and label it, and write a special commemorative tag for the bottle. The cost of the experience is $139.99.
