Today the ten millionth barrel was filled at Heaven Hill in Bardstown since its opening in 1935. Heaven Hill is the world’s second-largest holder of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and is the only independent family-owned and led company to reach 10 million barrels filled.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear was on hand to make remarks and to assist in hammering the bung into the barrel along with co-Presidents Kate and Allan Latts and Chairman Max Shapira. Heaven Hill currently has more than two million barrels of whiskey aging in its 70 rick houses. This represents one-sixth of all the Bourbon in Kentucky.
